Melbourne CBD & Docklands

One team carries this work from start to finish

Operable facade components that were installed static, damaged in transit or never fitted will stall sign-off. M&M Services Group offers facade commissioning for projects across Southbank and central Melbourne: re-engaging components rendered static during installation, replacing damaged or faulty parts, and installing any additional components the envelope needs. The result is a facade that works as designed and is fully recorded before practical completion.

The documentation is built into the process rather than assembled at the end. ITPs, live project records and time-stamped images sit on OneDrive where your team can review them at any time. One crew carries the commissioning scope end to end, and with day and night shifts available, the work fits around glazing, access equipment and the trades still on the tower.

The local market

Working in Southbank

Southbank packs Melbourne's densest cluster of residential high-rise into a narrow strip between the Yarra and City Road, including Eureka Tower, Australia 108 and the Melbourne Square precinct. The Crown complex, Southgate and the Melbourne Arts Precinct — where NGV Contemporary is under construction — anchor the riverfront. Heavily glazed towers over podium retail sustain continuous demand for facade access, glazing rectification and high-level finishing.

Our Melbourne team also covers Melbourne CBD, South Wharf, South Melbourne, St Kilda Road, Docklands and the rest of central Melbourne.

Questions

What builders ask us

Yes. Facade commissioning is available for projects in Southbank and the surrounding region, carried out by the same crews that handle our facade rectification work. Around 20 per cent of the team is based in Melbourne, so Southbank packages are resourced locally, with Sydney crews behind them when a programme needs surge labour. Tower, podium or mixed-use, the operable components and the method are the same.

Yes, and it usually should be. We price commissioning through tenders and RFQs alongside facade rectification, or as a standalone scope where the facade contractor has demobilised. Issue the package with drawings and the operable-component schedule, and we will return a priced, staged response your contract administrator can assess.

ITP documentation for each commissioning step, live project records and time-stamped images of the work — all accessible to your team on OneDrive at any time, not just at handover. Pre-launch panel preparation is also recorded under ITP, so quality is verified before panels are installed, not discovered at height.

Yes — that situation is common. Where the installing contractor has left site or the components were supplied by others, we inspect the envelope, re-engage what was installed static, replace what is faulty and install what is missing, then document the result so the facade reaches sign-off with a complete record.
