Sydney CBD & Inner City

One team carries this work from start to finish

Ripping out completed joinery in a finished apartment is the most expensive way to close a defect. M&M Services Group offers French polishing and interior make-good across Ultimo and inner Sydney: veneer and polyurethane finishes restored on site and colour-matched panel by panel, with the same crew handling chipped stone, cracked tiles, scratched bathtubs, mirrors, chrome and floorboards. One trade takes the whole interior list.

Our founders bring 25+ years in the trade, and every job runs on a one-team model: a single subcontract from inspection through to sign-off, with time-stamped images of the work available on OneDrive for the handover file. Day and night shifts suit occupied hotels, apartments and completed floors, where rooms are released in narrow windows and the finish has to be right the first time.

The local market

Working in Ultimo

Ultimo carries one of Sydney's heaviest concentrations of institutional buildings — the UTS city campus including the Frank Gehry-designed Dr Chau Chak Wing Building, TAFE NSW Ultimo, the Powerhouse Museum undergoing its heritage revitalisation, and the ABC headquarters on Harris Street. Sandstone, face brick and contemporary composite facades stand within metres of one another, and rolling campus upgrade cycles generate recurring facade access and specialist surface works.

Our Sydney crews also work in Haymarket, Pyrmont, Chippendale, Glebe, Darlington and the rest of inner Sydney.

Questions

What builders ask us

Yes. French polishing and the wider interior make-good scope are available for projects in Ultimo and the surrounding region. Our crews are based at Riverstone and work across Greater Sydney daily, so mobilising to a site in Ultimo is routine. Defect-stage joinery, stone, tile and floorboard work is carried by the one crew, so the whole interior list closes together.

Yes — on-site colour-matching is central to how we work. Each panel is matched in place before any broader application, so repaired joinery reads consistently against the surrounding finish. Where damage is extensive, complete kitchen resprays, rebuilt carcasses and new end panels are part of the same capability.

Both routes are open. Builders often include interior make-good as a package in defect-stage tenders and RFQs, sometimes alongside our facade and glass scopes; contract administrators also engage us directly from a defect list. Send the list with locations and photographs and we will return a priced response.

The work is photographed with time-stamped images as it proceeds, and records are accessible to your team on OneDrive at any time. Each defect item carries its own before-and-after evidence, so the register closes cleanly and the documentation is ready when practical completion or DLP review comes around.
