Inner Melbourne

One team carries this work from start to finish

A protective coating system is a compliance item before it is a finish. M&M Services Group offers industrial and architectural painting for projects in Richmond and inner Melbourne: structural steel coated to the engineering specification and Australian Standards using established coating systems and instruments, alongside interior and exterior architectural painting across drywall, wood, metal and masonry.

The application method is chosen for the substrate and the setting — roll, brush, spray, electrostatic and airless — with workshop spray-booth finishing available for items that need controlled conditions. Coated elements are recorded against the ITP with time-stamped photographs held on OneDrive, and with 90+ staff working day and night shifts, a coatings package in Richmond can be programmed around access windows and occupied areas.

The local market

Working in Richmond

Richmond mixes Victorian-era warehouses converted to creative and technology offices with the Bridge Road, Swan Street and Victoria Street retail strips. Its Cremorne edge has become one of Melbourne's densest technology office clusters, while Epworth Richmond and Victoria Gardens anchor larger-format development nearby. Adaptive reuse dominates the pipeline, so facade restoration, roofing and glazing works and commercial fit-out account for much of the local construction activity.

Our Melbourne team also covers Cremorne, Abbotsford, Burnley, Collingwood, East Melbourne and the rest of inner Melbourne.

Questions

What builders ask us

Yes. Painting and coatings are available for projects in Richmond and throughout the region. Around 20 per cent of the team is based in Melbourne, so Richmond packages are resourced locally, with Sydney crews behind them when a programme needs surge labour. Structural steel coatings, architectural painting and equipment resprays sit in one scope, so the whole coatings package is carried by one crew.

Yes. Steel is coated to the engineering specification and Australian Standards, using established coating systems and instruments, so the protective system is reinstated rather than the appearance alone. The system and the specification are confirmed with the project team before application.

Either. We price coatings packages through formal tenders and RFQs issued by builders and facade companies, and we also take direct enquiries from contract administrators mid-project. Send the specification, schedule or defect list and we will return a priced response with staging and access assumptions.

Coated elements are checked against the inspection and test plan and recorded with time-stamped photographs as the work proceeds, held in live project documentation and available to your team on OneDrive at any time.
