Surface protection in Pyrmont

Protect the finish before it becomes a defect

Sydney CBD & Inner City

Protection made for each finish and build stage

Preventing damage costs less than repairing it. M&M Services Group supplies and installs surface protection for projects across Pyrmont and inner Sydney, working with builders and facade companies to shield installed finishes — lobbies, joinery, stone, glass and metalwork — through every stage of the build. Protection is customised to the installation and the stage rather than pulled off a shelf, because a lobby floor and a lift interior do not face the same traffic.

The one-team model matters here more than anywhere. If a protected finish is damaged anyway, the same group rectifies it — facade, glass, stainless, silicone or joinery — under one point of accountability, so prevention and cure sit in a single subcontract. Installations are photographed with time-stamped images on OneDrive, and with day and night shifts available, protection goes in behind each trade without slowing the programme.

The local market

Working in Pyrmont

Pyrmont is a dense harbour peninsula where The Star's entertainment complex and media and technology offices sit among converted wharves and woolstores, with the W Hotel Sydney in The Ribbon just across Darling Harbour. The Pyrmont Peninsula Place Strategy and a proposed metro station underpin further commercial development, while the adjacent Blackwattle Bay renewal — including the new Sydney Fish Market — brings tier-1 construction activity to the precinct's western edge.

Our Sydney crews also work in Ultimo, Glebe, Sydney CBD, Barangaroo and the rest of inner Sydney.

Questions

What builders ask us

Yes — surface protection is available across Pyrmont and the wider region. We supply and install protection for builders and facade companies through every stage of a build, customised to the specific finishes involved. Our crews are based at Riverstone and work across Greater Sydney daily, so mobilising to a site in Pyrmont is routine.

The same group makes it good. Facade panels, glass, stainless steel, silicone joints and joinery are all rectification scopes we deliver ourselves, so a damaged finish becomes a repair by the team already on site — one point of accountability, rather than a dispute between a protection supplier and a repair trade.

Yes. Protection is often issued as part of a finishes or facade package, and we price it through tenders and RFQs in that form or as a standalone scope. Provide the finishes schedule, programme stages and areas to be protected, and we will return a priced response covering supply, installation and staging.

Yes — the same discipline applies. Installations are recorded with time-stamped documentation accessible to your team on OneDrive, so there is a clear record of what was protected, where and when. If damage does occur, that record shows the protection was in place and helps establish which trade caused it.
