Sydney CBD & Inner City

One team carries this work from start to finish

A scratched lift door should not put a replacement on your critical path. M&M Services Group offers stainless steel polishing across Barangaroo and inner Sydney, restoring handrails, handles, sinks and lift doors in situ — the item stays on the building while the finish comes back. Scratched chrome is handled by the same crew, so a run of metal defects across a lobby or lift core becomes one visit and one closed register item.

It is one team from enquiry to sign-off, backed by a group that also carries facade, glass and silicone scopes under a single subcontract. Work is recorded with time-stamped images available on OneDrive, so the before-and-after record travels with each defect item. Crews operate day and night shifts — suited to lift cores and lobbies in Barangaroo that can only be released outside trading or site hours.

The local market

Working in Barangaroo

Barangaroo is a 22-hectare harbourfront renewal precinct anchored by the three International Towers, Crown Towers Sydney and Renzo Piano's One Sydney Harbour residential trio. Barangaroo Metro station opened in 2024, and Central Barangaroo — the precinct's final stage — continues the development pipeline. Facade typologies range from full-height curtain wall to sculptural podiums, with strict precinct-wide finish standards set by tier-1 builders and their facade partners.

Our Sydney crews also work in Millers Point, The Rocks, Sydney CBD, Dawes Point and the rest of inner Sydney.

Questions

What builders ask us

Yes — stainless polishing is available across Barangaroo and the wider region. In-situ work is our specialty: handrails, handles, sinks and lift doors are restored where they are installed, without removal. Our crews are based at Riverstone and work across Greater Sydney daily, so mobilising to a site in Barangaroo is routine.

No — restoring stainless in situ is the point of the service. Handrails, lift doors, handles and sinks are polished where they sit, which avoids removal, freight and the lead time of a replacement item. The finish is worked to match the surrounding metal so the repair reads as part of the original installation.

Yes. Stainless polishing is often one line inside a larger defects or make-good package, and we price it that way — through tenders and RFQs from builders and facade companies, or as a direct scope from a contract administrator. Send photographs and locations of the affected items and we will return a priced response.

Each item is photographed before and after restoration with time-stamped images, and the record is accessible to your team on OneDrive throughout the engagement. That gives you clean evidence for the defect register and handover file, and a clear trail if the damage originated with another trade on site.
